Sea participants serve as civilian representatives of their communities and networks. A specific professional background is not required. General participants will not disembark upon arrival in Gaza.

Captain

Boat captain with experience and certification or with experience but no certification

We are seeking experienced captains to lead vessel preparation ahead of the spring mission and command at sea where required. Captains are responsible for safety, navigation and crew leadership. Certification is welcome, but proven experience may also qualify depending on vessel type and local requirements.

Crew

Maritime crew member for boat operations

We are recruiting capable maritime crew to support boat preparation and operations for the spring mission. Crew members support safe navigation, deck operations and watch schedules, and help maintain day-to-day readiness. This role suits people who can work reliably in close quarters, follow the chain of command and handle physical tasks in changing conditions.

Visual design for social media, branding, and templates (GSF Communications Team)

We need designers who are proficient in Figma, comfortable applying an existing visual identity and able to develop it further when new needs appear. You should enjoy creating clear layouts that can be turned into templates so national teams can translate and adapt in their own languages.

This includes social media posts, stories, documents, posters and branding tasks. We're also looking for people with experience with frontend design and coding experience to expand the work on our website.

Experience working with Arabic script and right to left layout is a big plus.

Video editing and motion graphics for social media content (GSF Communications Team)

We need very fluent editors in Adobe Premiere Pro who can work fast and keep projects organized. You should be comfortable taking a rough cut into a final piece, with subtitles in several languages and a consistent use of graphics.

Most of the work is short form content for social media with quick cuts and strong rhythm. Some editors will also focus on motion graphics and simple animations for text on screen, supers for interviews and lower thirds.

Research, writing, and press support (GSF Communications Team)

We need people who can take an idea or a political need and turn it into a clear piece of content. This means developing the story, doing the research and producing the material that designers use for carousels and that video editors use for scripts, voice overs or text on screen.

We are especially looking for Palestinians and people from the Global South who are well versed in Palestinian history and anti-colonial discourses. Some writers may also work closely with the press team, writing press releases or statements and supporting media work.

Digital asset management and media organization (GSF Communications Team)

We need archivists to help us organize and maintain our visual assets. This includes footage and images from missions, mobilizations around the world and material that we receive from Palestine.

This work is about cataloguing, naming, tagging and structuring. Experience with digital asset management systems is very welcome, but we currently work mainly with Google Drive, so we need people who can design a user friendly structure inside that reality.

We are seeking Logistics/On-Site supporters to oversee planning, implementation and coordination of all participant-related logistics for their assigned ground location.

Availability:
- Remote: Immediately, 10-20 Hours per week
- On-site (Catalonia, Italy, Greece, Türkiye or Tunisia): from 8 March 2026, minimum 3-4 weeks, full-time

Responsibilities:
- Oversees planning, implementation and coordination of all participant-related logistics including transport, catering, accommodation and training facilities.
- Co-Coordinates the relevant port's on-site logistics team.
- Provides timely communication, updates and adapts to variables on-site in real time.

Relationships & remit:
- Coordinates 3 Logistics team leads (Facilities/Accommodation, Transport, Procurement/Catering).
- Coordinated by Mission Prep Coordination Team.
- Member of Ground Coordination Team at the relevant port site.

Required:
- Large-scale, on-site project-management and/or logistical coordination experience.
- Team/people management experience; ideally cross-cultural and large-scale.
- Experience managing conflicting deadlines and complex logistical situations; highly organized, thinks ahead, adaptable and proactive.
- Excellent communicator.
- Speaks English fluently.

Desired:
- Working level of one or more of: Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Turkish.
- Large-scale project management, movement and/or event planning experience in a high-pressure setting.
- International driving license.
